Obexers Boat Works and Marina

We are an over 100 year old family owned and operated marina & boatyard, the longest continuously run family business in Lake Tahoe, located in Homewood, CA on Tahoe's west shore. We are a full service marina and boatyard with several local business tenants. We offer launch services including launch ramp, dry dock, slips, and buoys. We have a boats parts and retail store along with offering mechanical services and wooden boat restoration services. There is an onsite market and deli, lodge, and ski/snowboard and kayak/paddleboard and bike shop and a United States Post Office. We were a part of the Visit California "Dream 365" commercial campaign featuring professional skateboarder Bob Burnquist, riding a floating half pipe on the lake. We believe small family businesses are what make our community special and value our long-term and new customers as well as many long tenured staff who have been with us for decades. Our property features many old barns and buildings dating back as old as the early 1900's including Hobarts Playhouse which was a brothel at the turn of the 20th century and has the first elevator west of the Mississippi. Our property showcases old tahoe and continues to be slowly updated over time while holding true to our storied history and Tahoe's gilded era.
